In the End - 022"So this is the Subcontinental Tunnel…" Aapur stood in the entrance of the tunnel. "I was supposed to be here under the opening, but due some events were I unable to reach it. This is actually the first time I'm here." He chuckled a bit. "After an eleven year long delay."
JoJo looked at him. "That's right. We were supposed to interview you there."
Aapur tilted his head. "What?"
Adrealine laughed a bit. "We were reporters even before the first happenings occurred. One of our jobs was to track you to try to once get an interview. It's the past now, as there is nobody to read it anymore."
Aapur couldn't hold back and laughed a bit too.

In the end - 021"Welcome to Yellowstone." JoJo, who now was driving the remains of the bus, stopped at the remains of a view post overlooking the huge national park. It wasn't a pretty sight. Acid lakes boiled everywhere, and the air was stained with the smell of decaying soil. There wasn't a single tree in sight. "If Senadon is right it is here the Arch Angel will be."
To everyone's surprise, the mention of the Arch Angel was replied with the distant sound of massive metal locks unlocking, and then the deep sound of heavy metal gates opening.
"What the hell is going on…" Z13 looked in the direction of the sound.

In the end - 020The Sea of Despair was not like Aapur had expected. It wasn't a decaying lake filled with bodies, or a misty black hole. It was a sea of powerful and deadly flames that burned endlessly.
"Gehenna. The unquenchable sea of fire where the second worst sinners were cast into before Darkness took control. It's now been unused for several years, and just burns." Sinai looked at it from the cliff they stood on.
Aapur looked into the flames. "I bet that I would be burnt to a crisp if I fell into those, no matter how fireproof I would be." He looked nervously at Sinai and Senda.
"Stop whining, you big baby." Senda leaped forward and kicked his ches

In the End - 019The air in the Subcontinental Tunnel was stale and slowly decaying. Rotten water was dripping from the ceiling, making small rivers. It was obvious that not even the tunnel was spared from the apocalypse. There were burnt-out cars lying around everywhere, and the crew often had to get out and move them out of the way.
"I don't like this place. It's giving me the chills." Adrealine was leaning to the fence that prevented her from walking off the platform. They had stopped at a gas station to refuel, and to their surprise the pumps were still working. "Everything just feels wrong here."

In the End - 018Aapur looked into the desert from the oasis. "So this is where people still have hopes remaining. In the middle of nowhere."
Khaos shook his head. "Nowhere is the space in between, where the worst sinners and Darkness' puppets end up."
"I would gladly hear more about that." Aapur nodded
"Not now. I'll tell you later." Khaos smirked and walked to the edge of the water in the little oasis.
"Yeah. Maybe later." Aapur sat down beside him, looking at the water. "I felt like taking a bath now…"
"Not so fast, kid. That water is a gate to the next circle of Hell. You'll be placed somewhere random too, and I don't want to go looking for you.

In the End - 017Unknown town, unknown time.
Z13, Renard, Scott and the rest were hiding in a dark farmhouse, sitting around a small campfire. The smell of old hay was hanging in the air, as the contours of old wagons and equipment were all around them.
"I told you two to not be so careless!" Z13 pointed an angry finger at Volf and Ryan.
Volf shook his head. "We're sorry, but we could not do anything else. It might have been a good bus, but there were way too many zombies there."
Senadon nodded. "They're right. It was either the bus or them."
